Initially she qualified as a registered general nurse then went on to train to become an osteopath and naturopath further specialising in cranial osteopathy and craniosacral therapy. More recently she has studied medical acupuncture.

She says that ‘the beauty of osteopathy is it’s gentle, simple and powerful way of relieving pain and restoring health’

After graduating she worked part time whilst her daughters were young then she set up a multi-disciplinary clinic called The Source on the corner of Winckley Square in Preston.

She has undergone further training in massage, yoga, healing and reiki (master’s level) and short courses in homeopathy and flower remedies.
She incorporates these skills into her sessions.
She has also studied counselling, rebirthing and gestalt bodywork to help her understand how the mind, the body and the emotions work together.

She no longer practises as a naturopath and she no longer treats babies and children.

She enjoys reading, writing, researching and walking by the sea and in the mountains.
